The WMG 2025 Adds the Barebow Archery event and Increases Triathlon Entry Quotas; Changes the Basketball, Volleyball and Weightlifting Venue
The updates of the sport events, the entry quotas and the Sport Information Guideline, with the registration system opening on 14 June, 2024, at 12:00 (at noon, UTC +8):
The WMG 2025 Adds the Barebow Archery event and Increases Triathlon Entry Quotas; Changes the Basketball, Volleyball and Weightlifting Venue
The updates of the sport events, the entry quotas and the Sport Information Guideline, with the registration system opening on 14 June, 2024, at 12:00 (at noon, UTC +8):
- Based on the recommendations of the International Masters Games Association and the World Archery Federation, we decide to add the barebow archery to enhance diversity. The total entry quotas for archery events will be increased from 260 to 600.
- By scheduling of the triathlon and aquathlon in separate time slots, the entry quotas have been raised. The triathlon will now accept up to 1,200 participants, and the aquathlon will accept up to 600 participants. The Archery and Triathlon Sport Information Guideline have republished.
The entry quotas for the athletics events will be increased, with the registration system opening on July 1, 2024, at 12:00 (at noon, UTC +8). On the other hand, we recommend team sports such as Water Polo, Basketball, Canoe Polo, Flying Disc, Football, Rowing, Tug of War, and Woodball. Invite your teammates to join in the competition, or you can also invite international players. There are still spots available for other sports, so we welcome you to sign up.
