【2024-11-27 New Updates】

【2024-11-11 New Updates】
The WMG 2025 has adjusted the competition regulations and updated the Sport Information Guideline for the following events: Karate and Fencing.

【2024-11-11 New Updates】
The WMG 2025 has adjusted the competition regulations and updated the Sport Information Guideline for the following events: Karate and Fencing.
- Karate: 【To delete】the 2.5.1 Clothing rule:The number cloth given by the organizer must be sewed on the back.
- Fencing: The 2.5.1 Clothing regulations is revised as following below:
- Fencing jacket and pants must be at least 350N Newton. Fencers are not allowed to wear the fencing jacket with another person's name.
- ask, sword and underplastron must have FIE certification mark.
- Bodywire must be electrified and transparent.
- Mask, fencing jacket and pants, underplastron, swords, and bodywires etc. must be submitted and tested by Weapon Control before the competition. Once passed the testing, it shall be used in the competition.
- Participants must bring their own competition equipment. At least 2 swords for the competition, or they shall be penalized in accordance with the FIE Rules.
【2024-10-28 New Updates】
- Sport Dance: Originally limited to 500 team entries. The sport dance capacity will now be revised into number of 2,000 participants. The adjustment is completed today (28th).
- Para-badminton: The competition venue has been designated for para-badminton events, so the allocation has been adjusted to 100 people for para-badminton, with the registration system opening on 1 November, 2024, at 12:00 (at noon, UTC +8).
- Weightlifting: Originally set at 300 people, adjusted to 380 people, with the registration system opening on 1 November, 2024, at 12:00 (at noon, UTC +8).
【2024-10-18 New Updates】
- The WMG 2025 has adjusted the competition regulations and updated the Sport Information Guideline for the following events: Aquatics-Open Water, Baseball and Softball, Rugby, Karate, Taekwondo, Tennis and Volleyball.
- Aquatics-Open Water：The competition day of open water event is changed from 24th May to 26th May 2025.
- Baseball, Softball: The maximum number of players per team has been increased from 18 to 24 to encourage more people to participate in the competition.
- Rugby: 2.5.1 Clothing rule
◎ Original: The shirt numbers of the starting 15 must be 1~15 (the numbers of substitute players must be 16-23, which must be specified on the list).
All players must wear self-provided mouth guards. Those who don’t are not allowed to participate.
◎ Adjustment: All jerseys should have numbers with visible colors on the back (numbers are limited to 1 to 99). Accessories etc. are not allowed during the game.
All players are advised to wear self-provided mouth guards. - Karate: 2.5.1 Clothing rule: Competitors must wear an all-white karategi, but it is not mandatory to wear a karategi with red or blue embroidery on the shoulders. If a competitor wears a red or blue uniform with embroidery on the shoulders, it must comply with the embroidery regulation. For the revised daily schedule in the Section 2.2 Event Schedule of Karate Sport Information Guideline.
- Taekwondo: In order to enhance the diversity of participants from different age groups, the age group for Individual Kyorugi event (U35, U45, O55) have been adjusted to U35, U45, U55, and O55.
- Tennis:
◎ Original: The matches in age groups over 55+ will take place in Shulin Sports Center (Clay Tennis Center), the matches in age groups from 30+ to 50+ and the wheelchair tennis event will take place in Taipei Tennis Center.
◎ Adjustment: All "A Open category" (ITF 700), "B recreational category" for 45+ and under, and wheelchair tennis events will be held at the Taipei Tennis Center. Events for the "B recreational category" for 50+ and above will take place at the Shulin Sports Center (Clay Tennis Center). - Volleyball: The volleyball event is scheduled to be held in two periods "Phase A" and "Phase B", the detailed explanations has been provided in the sheet for easier to understand.
